I found this forum just over a week ago when I ordered my CPAP from cpap.com
I was diagnosed with moderate to severe OSA in October and my doctor prescribed a Remstar Plus with CFLEX at a setting of 13. He also prescribed a Nasalaire 2 mask.
My insurance company refused to pay for the CFLEX option and I wasn't about to pay the extra $500 they wanted for it so I ended up with a standard Remstar Plus. I had problems with the pressure at first and used the ramp feature but eventually I could get to sleep without it. The Nasalaire mask was very noisy in my opinion so I changed to the Breeze which is great.
Then I changed jobs and I had to decide whether to pay $350 a month to continue my coverage under COBRA or just take a chance and go uninsured. I didn't want to be without a cpap but when I looked around I found that I could buy a Remstar Plus with CFLEX from cpap.com for way less than the $700 I would have paid for insurance I went that route.
I love the CFLEX and cpap.com were great people to deal with and I found this forum. I've already picked up some good tips about the Breeze and I'm sleeping well and feeling really happy now.
So, thanks again everybody
Denis

Welcome wolrab49,
Great to hear your success story. Odd but reasuring that some medical care is cheaper without insurance.
You've found cpap.com and cpaptalk, that puts you well on your way to successful treatment.
