better head gear for wisp

Post by besea » Fri Mar 20, 2015 7:06 am

Have tried 3 ffm (Quartro) and am now using the Wisp which I do like but HATE the head gear and the straps on my face. Is there any other head gear that can be used with the Wisp. Still thinking about getting pillow type but am hesitant about the tubes in my nostrils after some things I have read. I want the minimum on my face and head for comfort. Any suggestions?

What frame do you use for the Wisp? I tried the fabric frame, but hated it.
I loved the silicone frame, because it would cling to my cheeks, preventing pressure around my nose.
Others prefer the dry, slippery feel of the fabric frame. Both frames are compatible with the same headgear.
If the headgear (the stretchy straps) is what bothers you, pad a cheek has covers for that.

I loved the Wisp for the first month but the fabric frame and headgear haven't held up very well. My buddy who suggested it hasn't had the same issue with the silicone frame.

I believe some of the pad a cheek liners cover the frame portion too.
I found the headgear "buttons" work best with the silicone frame.
I no longer have the fabric frame.

I love the Wisp but hate the fabric headgear frame too, it doesn't fit my head very well. But I don't like silicone against my face, either. A lot could be solved if they made the top part of the headgear strap adjustable. It's about time to go after it with my sewing machine.
