Mouthpiece/head strap combination

Has anyone tried the head strap contraption that keeps your jaw shut along with the mouthpiece that moves your lower jaw forward? I'm not looking to replace my machine, I just want to be prepared for long power outages and I would like to backpack again.

You could easily build your own and experiment. Adding a soft cervical collar to the oral adjustment device will help keep the mouth closed without the pressure backwards from the usual chin strap type of device. Chin straps pull backwards on the jaw acting counter to the oral device.
