The only thing I hate about my P10

Post by KenH » Tue Feb 24, 2015 10:10 am

When you get up to go to the potty. It is very hard to figure out front or back in the dark. If you feel the mark that tells the size there is a slight difference. That is the only way I can tell. Super comfort and does not leak.

On the frame at the top, opposite of the size sticker, there are imprinted words (Resmed Airfit). I can hardly read them but I have gotten use to feeling for them in the dark.

How about feeling the size of the space between the pillows at the top and bottom so you can tell the angle of them (narrower at the top/wider at the bottom)? I can tell which way it goes by...erm...fondling the pillows, but I usually find it simplest to just leave the mask on and disconnect the P10's short hose from the main hose.

I'm a little concerned that you still "go potty"

Hey, now. I still take my binky to the bathroom with me when I get up to take a piss. Makes me invisible to the monster in the closet!

that smooth spot on the bottom is there just for the purpose of figuring out which way the mask should go.

Confusing top or bottom maybe but front or back is a little easier to identify.

*lol* I was about to say "hey, that 'resmed' opposite the size marking is on the INSIDE... then I reread what you said, and looked, (and felt), and discovered what you're talking about. I'd never noticed that raised printing there.

I just use the smooth half circle where the size is printed, I got that tip from the p10 video resmed put on youtube.

though, i do think they could have made it somewhat less subtle

I read that tip on CPAP.com under important tips (putting on mask in a darkened room) when I first got my mask. It also mentions looking for the upward curve of the side frame.

I was having the same problem. And didn't want to wake myself up by thinking to hard about which end is up. So I tied a piece of ribbon to the middle of the lower section (closer to neck) of the head strap. Now I just feel for that and know it goes on the bottom.

Just thinking about a guy doing the moonlight scamper --in the dark-- makes my feet feel moist!

Snap the short tube from the longer tubing like a green bean. Leave mask on while you trek to the potty.

I think the use of the word "Potty" has to do with raising kids, or having that word used when you were a kid, yourself. I work in a retail environment, and can generally guess when the customer is a preschool, or elementary teacher, just by how they speak to me. Of course, there is always the ever ready hanky...
