Sleep onset centrals are a normal phenomenon as the pCO2 threshold changes, and should not be clobbered with machine breaths.
Morbius, who actually doesn't even use a CPAP machine so could easily be challenged with a "You have no idea what it's like!" retort.
Liam,
If you don't know who "Morbius" is, he went by these other aliases in the past.......

Thanks for the update, I do not recall Morbius, nor any of the other names listed, but then it's been a few years.
Thanks everyone for the information, I'm still processing through it. I'm thinking one thing I may do is set up my iPad on time-lapse mode and find out whether I truly mostly side sleep or whether I switch to my back frequently. I usually go to sleep on my side and I generally wake up on my side, and the sleep study suggested that I have almost no apneic events when on my side.
Which, I suppose, might also yield a solution of making up one of those shirts with tennis balls sewn into the back or some similar mode of ensuring I stay on my side all night long.
Still, though, I'm always tired, which means that likely I'm spending more time on my back than I'm aware of, during my sleep.
Much to ponder over the next few weeks.
Liam, who has apparently, in very short order, had a profound effect (at least on this thread) on people's propensity for silly sign-offs.

Sleep apnea severity is not necessarily static-- it may get worse over time or with weight gain (assuming that sleep apnea is the culprit).
Or your REM may not be protected with positional sleeping, and the OSA constantly bumps you out of it.
You could get a good quality home test and get a much more definitive and answer and be in a better position to plan.
Morbius, who was not even aware he was using silly sign-offs, but is not surprised since he did not get the SSO Vaccination this year.

Morbius, I agree. However, this sleep study is a week old, so I'm inclined to believe that if they say they did not observe an apnea problem during side sleep, that at present I don't have one.
Liam, feeling as old as his sleep study is young.

Moving straight to SSO, I remain
Morbius, who thinks that inclinations sometimes go so far as to cause one to completely topple over.

you're messing up his stealth efforts!! (or whatever they are) maybe it's an attempt to very slowly fill up the user table.

With the exception of his most recent identity, the others are in the "Members" list, if you click on the "Posts" column header to sort them by number of posts and then go over to page 3 to look at those with approximately 1000 posts.
It's a nice, neat list. But then, he's a nice, neat guy.
Den (after seeing he posted as I was about to edit this one to add a "Liamization" to my sig, I'll try to remind myself to not call them "aliases" anymore......and use "screen names" instead.

These aren't really "aliases", they're more like "screen names", and there really isn't a lot of effort placed on stealth, so this would more likely be termed the above "whatever".
Morbius, taking SSOs to a new...
Y'know, as this whole process is 2-dimensional, can there really be a high or low? I mean you're typing on your 'droid, and what if it's flat? Or sideways? What difference does it really make? Did you get those mushrooms from the grocer's? You know the wall is melting?

yeah, that wall thing has been worrying me a bit.
