I love how lightweight and low profile the P10 is. It's the first mask I've actually found I can curl up the way I like to with, with my hands under my cheek. Therefore, it's the first mask I've been able to fall asleep with quickly. But the straps are too loose! If I roll over, my seal is gone, and I need to readjust the straps.

I contacted ResMed and told them that they ought to at least offer large, medium, and small headgear for the p10 and they told me that I should instead consider using the ear loops with the Swift FX mask. (?) It seems they missed my entire point or chose to ignore it - I'm not sure which.

strigiformes, you should make your design commercially available! I'd buy one! Quite nice. I think I'll follow your lead and try to manufacture something better using the Aloha headgear. Thanks so much for the recommendation. I tried folding the straps and then using a twist tie to hold the folds in place, but it was too uncomfortable so I thought I'd trying cutting and resewing them. I haven't done much sewing in my life so my straps look like a child put them together. They work, but I just don't know how long they'll last, and I do wish I could make further adjustments to the straps. Certainly my poorly sewn straps couldn't handle a washing machine. Velcro seems to be the way to go.
What an answer from ResMed. Incidentally, their ear loops & Swift FX were worse than useless for me...might've worked if my ears were set nearly on top of my head, but yeah...no. I sooo wanted that to work, too, so I wouldn't have to have anything touching my poor hair at all. Long hair + Velcro is a dangerous combination. I can handle the minimal amount on my current set up with just a bit at the sides, but the vast majority of other headgears, fuggetaboutit. Oh, well.

I'm not much of a seamstress, either, hence my cannibalizing convenient parts from another mask rather than making my own. Hope the trick helps you! And I hope ResMed eventually gets a clue and starts offering the P10 headgear in sizes (and colors, preferably of the non-pastel variety!).
