Damn...spending money with DME, afterall.

Post by Tatooed Lady » Wed Feb 11, 2015 6:50 pm

Just got an S9 VPAP and have used it in my truck the past few nights...problem being I'm using the household cord and a small inverter that I've used for other small appliances. Works okay, BUT...since I'm swapping the modem from the original Respironics machine for a ResMed one...I told safety to throw in a DC cord. I really DID NOT want to (over) spend another DIME with these vultures, however, I need the cord this weekend, and can break cost into 4 weekly payroll deductions. So the convenience is worth it ONE TIME.

And I will have to write down settings before setting up brain munching modem...it will likely reset my settings to whatever "the doctor" (whoever the hell s/he is) "prescribed." I would be interested in talking to this phantom doc...find out how one prescribes medical equipment and pressures with no contact with the patient. Genius!!

What is the part number for the DC cord? Did you compare with the online providers?

The DOT requirements to show compliance are a pain in the butt, but I'm glad the big rig drivers are sleeping. I assume you can set the unit where you need it.

Not sure the part #. I'm on limited internet at the moment. I found the part online for 10-20 bucks less, but timing would mean trying to run again next week with the house cord and inverter. Not happening.
A lert? I thought I was a noid like the one used in Domino's pizza ads 20 years ago?

I LOVE your Lot Lizard picture! My husband of 20 years is a former diesel mechanic and former emergency road service tech who currently sells large truck tires.

If not, TL should have that as a big magnetic sign on the doors of her cab...

*LOL* That was a sticker I had on my last truck. Unfortunately, Lot Lizards seemed to gravitate TOWARD the truck when that was on...so did the panhandlers and other assorted riffraff. The ONLY place I ever found that was at the I-80 truck stop in Iowa. You know, touted as "the worlds LARGEST truck stop!" Other pretty pretty things there, as well.

I think I saw a real lot liz on my vacay. (Truck stop ladies room)
She spent at least 5 minutes vigorously brushing her teeth.
I don't even want to guess.
