Dizziness
Dizziness
My husband has been using the cpap for a month now. He started having dizziness 2 days ago all throughout the day, feeling disorientated and can't focus . I have just got online to research cpap and dizziness and saw that other people had the same problems and then I saw this forum. Has anyone else had this problem? If so what did you do and is the dizziness related to cpap use? Thanks for any info!
Re: Dizziness
Cpap can lower blood pressure, and if his was 'only' normal to begin with, he should ask his MD to lend him a device to put on first thing in the a.m. to see if that's what's happening. Otherwise, I'd also want to be very sure bedding is not accidentally covering the CO2 vent holes overnight... not a good idea at all and can disorient people.
Re: Dizziness
The dizziness may have nothing to do with CPAP use. There are MANY things that can cause it. I would see his doctor asap.

Re: Dizziness
He is going to the doctor today. He slept without his cpap last night and was still feeling dizzy and off center this morning. Hopefully they will find out why he has been feeling like this.

Does his machine have a display which shows his AHI and a leak icon?nderycke wrote:My husband has been using the cpap for a month now.
Does he use SleepyHead software to monitor the effectiveness of his therapy? Is he aware that his therapy could be ineffective and the data needs to be monitored?
Snippet example of SleepyHead:

You are the one that is adding confusion. The point here is to introduce a likely completely unaware newbie's wife that there is software to track efficacy.palerider wrote:don't confuse the newbies granny.... that ain't sleepyhead.
