Hello all,
For the last several days, Sleepyhead has been reporting my humidifier status as "disconnected." This despite that I preheat it every night and it seems fine as far as that goes. I have it set on 4, but I'm starting (over those same few days) to get blood seeps in my nose. I'm going to try it on 5 tonight, but there wasn't any difference going from 3 to 4, so I don't have much hope that will help. I have one of those snugglehose things, but no heated tube; no problems with rainout at all.
Anyone had a similar experience? Just a Sleepyhead bug, or something actually with the humidifier?
Thanks!

Re: Sleepyhead says humidifier disconnected?
Probably a SleeyHead bug. There's been a history of SH having trouble with various settings.

I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.
Re: Sleepyhead says humidifier disconnected?
Its a bug in SH. I use 0 dot 9 dot 8 dot 1 and I see humidifier disconnected at times in SH. Sometimes the heated tube shows disconnected. I know they are connected because I preheat the humidifier and I can feel the air quality coming thru the mask.
Re: Sleepyhead says humidifier disconnected?
My sleepyhead also shows disconected but I knew it wasn't, so didn't worry about it.

Thanks everybody! I'll stop worrying about it and do other things to improve comfort.

Re: Sleepyhead says humidifier disconnected?
With you mentioning a nose bleed makes me think that you do have a problem. Has the water level usage appear to have changed recently? I would recommend(it can't hurt) a total power down, disconnecting the humidifier and then power up the unit. After the base unit has initialized, you might power down again, connect the humidifier and power back up. Check to see if the humidifier is recognized during the initialization. Hopefully it's just some gremlins in your system.
Good luck!

Re: Sleepyhead says humidifier disconnected?
Mine's been showing up as disconnected with both PRS1 460 and 560 machines. It's hit or miss, mostly miss. I ran through an entire preheated tank of water last night so it does seem to be working despite SH saying not connected.

Re: Sleepyhead says humidifier disconnected?
I've had the machine for a week. The first few days it used much more water than recently, but then the pressure it's been working at has decreased quite a bit. The humidifier is, however, still consuming water. We'll try the power down/power up routine, just to be sure, and maybe humidify the room air.SGearhart wrote:With you mentioning a nose bleed makes me think that you do have a problem.
