Post by cnl390 » Fri Jan 23, 2015 7:05 am

Just wondering what mask wipes everyone uses. Made for CPAP or baby wipes?
Thanks

Dr. Bronner's pure castile unscented mild baby soap. I wash the pillows daily and the mask every other day. The nose is so germy I don't want to take a chance and just wipe down the pillows although it's probably faster.

I had been putting some alcohol on a cotton ball because I *assumed* that the individually-wrapped alcohol wipes (the kind that come in first aid kits) would be too spendy, but I actually got a pack of 200 for about 3.50 at Rite Aid, so I think that's actually cheaper than the alcohol & cotton ball combo. They are pretty convenient and they don't have so much alcohol that it drips into the pillows, which used to happen (and burn my nostrils) when I used the soaked cotton. I've also used witch hazel, but I do feel like the alcohol works better for me.

I have a small pump bottle containing a little Dawn and water. I wash my mask once every two or three months whether it needs it or not.

I don't care about the germs on my nasal pillows, I don't want my leukocytes getting all bored and lazy

feed them kids some dirt now and then, help build up their immune systems, they'll thank you one day.

+1 on unscented Dr. Bronner's, although I'm not as ambitious in my cleaning schedule.
