Does someone have a simple (for my simple head) explanation of how AirView works? At the suggestion of another member, I stopped relying upon myAir (patient website) and instead load my card into SleepyHead to get a better view of my treatment progression.
However, my doctor's office cant' see me in AirView (clinician site). ResMed explains that myAir and Airview don't speak to each other which from a cloud computing perspective doesn't make much sense. I know my data is going to the ResMed cloud because I can see the (limited) data in myAir but feels like the AirView data is lost in space.
Anyone's provider successfully load their data using AirView without having to bring in the SD card or is this wishful thinking on my forgetful self?

Re: Can someone explain AirView?
AirView is, as you know, on the Clinian's side, it's a paid subscription for the Doctor, or Clinician, so it simply sounds like you Doctor does not pay for the service, and therefore can't see your data. ResMed's servers are in San Diego so that's where your data is going, but unless you Doctor wants to pay for the service he won't have access to it, simple as that.

Thanks, TangledHose. That makes complete sense but I should have specified - my provider's office uses AirView. They just can't seem to bring up my record. I'm more than happy to tie a string to my finger to remember my SD card when I visit the office but if the office has that subscription and my machine is capable of sending that data, I'd rather figure out what the disconnect is and make it right.

Re: Can someone explain AirView?
Ah, well then that is odd. I do know that ResMed's Airview has to conform to HIPAA rules about releasing information and I am also aware from the clinician's manual that the only thing the wireless system sends is summary and compliance data, the wireless won't send detailed data. I think the machine's serial number is the key, probably someone at your Doctors or maybe someone on the ResMed side doesn't have the the access to your data set up properly on the software side of things for your Doctor to have access to your individual machine. I am assuming you're getting a good wireless signal and it's working because you said you were seeing the data from the myAir side of things, so it's gotta just be a snafu in terms of access approval - would think that it would be an easy thing to sort out.
As far as I know, based on the fact that the wireless only sends the summary and compliance data, the myAir and Airview data would be pretty similar. I was looking at Airview over on the ResMed web site and it says that when your provider has wireless access set up for your machine that they would have the ability to change settings on your machine remotely, kind of a nifty system from their point of view, assuming they can get it set up properly.

Re: Can someone explain AirView?
My guess: someone entered the wrong number somewhere, serial number, account number, or access code.
I have had to go over the paperwork with both the doctor's office and a lab to find that two digits were transposed,
resulting in a BCBS cluster that was on the verge of costing me expenses that were "covered"--but refused.
I just happens. If it happens too often, I may suggest personnel changes, right to their face!

sounds like something your doctors office needs to figure out.BrooklynCPAPer wrote:Thanks, TangledHose. That makes complete sense but I should have specified - my provider's office uses AirView. Two things that I can think of where data might not be transmitted.BrooklynCPAPer wrote:Thanks, TangledHose. That makes complete sense but I should have specified - my provider's office uses AirView. 1. You do not have good cell reception.
2. The airplane mode is turned on.
