Air fit p 10

Post by Aunkster » Tue Jan 13, 2015 5:13 pm

So after suggestions from this forum I went from a swift fx and swift fx nano to today's new mask being a air fit p10
.
One noticing everyone difference seems to be Nare size..on my swift fx masks I wore a m ., this air fit seems that the s works better .
Just wondering if I was the only one who had to change the size when going to this mask ?

Others have also had to change sizes - some increase, some decrease (I decreased from Large (Swift FX) to Medium).

Presently I wear a wide Swift Fx Nano, anyone care to weigh in on what size I should purchase if I try the pillow experiment.

Can you tell me how your testing went? Were sinus problems less of an issue? Thanks.
edit: forgot to ask but if I recall the pillows will fit my existing headgear, is that correct?

The AirFit P10 comes with 3 sizes of pillows S-M-L so you can select the one best for you. If you get the for her version you get xs-s-m. The only difference is a pink headgear and pillow size and I haven't heard of many using the xs size.

The P10 is what I use. For a man, the average size, P10 I mean , is medium.

No, I do not believe the P10 pillows will fix the FX Nano mask. They look like two different masks if you check them out on CPAP.com

You are correct. The P10 is entirely different.
The Swift FX pillows and the Nano cushion will both fit the Nano frame and headgear.
The Nano frame has a more advanced elbow than the original Swift FX, and works best for either FX pillows and Nano cushion.

I'd recommend trying different sizes for the one where you breath the best. The medium fits me best but I breath better through the large. I suppose my correct size would fall between the two if such a size existed.

I started a thread about this and others posted that they had the same experience....meaning that the medium was a better fit but they breathed better through the large.

You leave me little choice, large it is

Thanks Sleepquest and Chunky, your comments led me to do a little more digging, the FX Nano headgear locks me into that pillow model. Going to try the recently popular P10 ,with the new headgear, then I'll have backup.
