Is it still possible to have a mask molded to fit your face?
So I've been struggling badly mask-wise (I know, that's one you all have never heard before). I recently tried a gel mask, but it leaks and left a 48-hour dent on the bridge of my nose. I understand the floating concept and have been able to get a mask to do so, but then the pressure on my ASV shifts and it's back to leakville. I've recently gotten my Innomed hybrid (the only one that has really worked for me) to work better by using the headgear from the Resmed liberty hybrid. The Innomed headgear is nice, and I like that you can adjust the pillows and mouthpiece height separately, but it wore out after only a couple of months and the leaks wouldn't stop. Even with this adjustment though, I am seriously concerned with the pressure on my upper teeth and jaw - there's no way it won't have an effect over time (note: I have to wear a FFM). To get to my point - when I was at the DME last week, he said that it used to be that everyone had a mask molded to their face until the FDA decided to step in and standardize everything. So my question is - is it still possible to have a custom molded mask? I've tried at least 12-15 different masks by now, and none of them fit - I just have a face with odd angles, it seems. Am I doomed, or is a custom FFM really an option?

The custom-molded mask may not be around any more. It was nasal only, and cost around $1500.
Have you checked the Sleepweaver Anew? it has a 30 day return policy.
The BS about the FDA is just that--a LIE!

Custom masks aren't all they should be because your face changes anyway depending on whether you lie down, whether you're on your back, or side, etc. etc, so unless you're King Tut and immobile, it wouldn't necessarily help all that much.

Maybe Botox and Silicone injections, then mold mask? If I had any interest in a full face mask, I would try the Anew.

Have you tried an F&P Simplus yet?
ResMed masks don't fit the bridge of my nose well, but the Simplus works great for me.
