Sleepyhead import 2 months blank data

Post by aaronk » Thu Jan 08, 2015 9:12 pm

Probably me, but I just downloaded 4 months of data from my SD card. (S9). I got a huge gap of several months with no data where ResMed software did not have this problem. Late September to early December is completely blank. After that the data shows again.

I'm using SleepyHead v 0.9.3.0. Windows 8.1 64bit. ... Aaron

Using your file browser, go to the card and look in the DATALOG directory. There should be a directory for each day. Are the missing-from-sleepyhead days there? Look inside the folders -- are there data files in there?

Are you write-protecting your card before you put it in to your computer? Does ResScan copy the data to someplace on your computer, and is reading that even though your cpap has deleted the data from your card? Are the days completely blank, or is there summary data? Or data on some graphs but not others?

Thanks for the help. I always write protect my card when I remove it from my S9, then un protect before plugging it back in. This time was no exception because when I put the card back in the S9 I did not get the message that it had to redownload to the card.

It's not an issue of ResScan copying data and reading that, because I have done no downloads of data for 3 months with either app.

I looked at the SD card folder and you are right. I only have files from December 8 last year up until current date. How do those get removed? Also, how did RedMed find them if they are not on the card? I even had ResMed re-download on a second computer and all data was there as well. BUT, that second computer made a second version of my data with the original version empty of data. Are their hidden files? My card has a ton of free space on it.

The plot thickens. SH seemed to get data for 2 days that don't exist on the cards file list.

Working on installing newer SH, but not sure how you restore saved SH data since I don't see it on the card. ... Aaron

If you haven't downloaded in several months from your S9 the problem may be this that I quote from a Pugsy post. On the S9 "the hi def data will get overwritten on the SD card after 7 nights and the other detailed files after 30 days. Summary usage and statistics will always be available though".

Thanks, probably not the problem though. I have zero data in SH for this block of time. (10/2/14-12/7/14) Also, ResScan seemed to be able to find and download that block of time. ... Aaron

older versions of SH didn't do well with summary only data, which is what you'd have for anything older than 30 days on a card that hadn't been checked for months.

I try hard because there's enough entropy to go around. And I know I will be corrected if I am wrong.

I just got the most recent brokenGL version and it got ALL my data off the card this time. The files on the SD card do NOT cover the range of data that was downloaded off same. Go figure. Maybe best to pretend this never happened.
