Sleepyhead not importing data
Sleepyhead not importing data
Hello: Anyone happen to know what has stopped Sleepyhead from displaying daily graph data? It has imported the month of Dec. correctly. And it will display data in the Details tab on the left side of the screen. But it won't display anything on the Events tab and won't show any daily graphs for any month prior to Dec. If I click on a date prior to Dec., it just says "no data" in the graph window. I began having problems with Sleepyhead in December, when it kept wanting to leap ahead to 2015. I finally got December 2014 back when I downloaded the latest beta 9.2.2, but no other graphs. Is there anything I can do to fix the problem? I've tried importing the data again, but that doesn't change anything. Have I changed a setting of some kind? Thanks for any help you can give me.
Re: Sleepyhead not importing data
I don't specify the OS you're running but the latest version for Windows is 0.9.8.1-testing.
Here is a direct download link:

Here is a link to SH's operation guide:

I hope this may help . . . also, one of the largest posted topics about Sleepyhead is about no data showing in the "Overview". . . Just right-click in the graph area.

Take a look at File - Preferences - Import from the header and check what date is in the line Do not import data older than *****

Re: Sleepyhead not importing data
Thanks, SGearhart and Mecheng, for all the info. I'm on a Mac and the 9.2.2 is what seemed to be the latest for it when I went looking before. I followed SGearhart's link and sure enough, there was the version you mentioned. I downloaded it and it still doesn't display the graph data (although I sure like the new version otherwise!) I tried right-clicking and that didn't work. I checked the date info in Preferences, as Mecheng, suggested and I still can't get the graphs. I notice that at the bottom of the graph window that a message says "Summary Only "
Any other suggestions I could try? Thanks for any suggestions you can give me.

Thanks PR! Not only did I mess that up but I see that I started the post with "I" instead of "You" . I guess I was practicing having a "Senior" moment.

Re: Sleepyhead not importing data
hey, you got the version right, but weren't sure that it's the same version number for windows, mac and linux.. (though us poor linux people have to make our own at this point).SGearhart wrote:palerider wrote:the latest version for everything is 0.9.8-1SGearhart wrote:I don't specify the OS you're running but the latest version for Windows is 0.9.8.1-testing.

I'd call that "close enough"

Re: Sleepyhead not importing data
I had the same experience with the LINUX version of Sleepyhead not being able to import the data from my SD card on my LINUX Mint computer.
The solution I came up with was to run the Windows version of Sleepyhead in a WindowsXP virtual machine with Virtualbox.
This also allows me to use the Philips Respironics® SleepMapper Windows SD card import program as well.
You can see the details of how to accomplish this here:

Re: Sleepyhead not importing data
I don't know what you were doing wrong, but I can assure you that sleepyhead works just great on linux. and while I'm a fan of vbox for the occasional thing that needs it, it's nice not to have to with SH.DaveJ45 wrote:I had the same experience with the LINUX version of Sleepyhead not being able to import the data from my SD card on my LINUX Mint computer.
SleepyHead: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (GNU/Linux), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux, BuildID[sha1]=deb4400c1816f6526a6da1702e53a62165c5f260, not stripped
you weren't using an ancient version, were you?

Re: Sleepyhead not importing data
I don't recall the exact version, although I do remember quite clearly that the .deb I used was the ONLY one I could find, since at that particular time the Sleepyhead download site was FUBAR'd, and there were no LINUX versions to download, not even the source code for compiling on your own. And the alternate download site only offered Windows and Mac versions.
I did get the LINUX software to run, but it wouldn't import data, as it claimed it could not find the SD card. I messed with it a while, and then put it aside. When I attempted to set up a virtual machine to use SleepMapper, and got it working I decided, what the heck, let's try the Windows Sleepyhead version and see if it will work too!
And it did. Just fine.
And since I have to run the virtual Windows machine for SleepMapper, it's pretty much a no brainer to do the Sleepyhead imports at the same time, on the same virtual machine. I may some day revisit the LINUX version of Sleepyhead, just to get it to run native on my computer, but for now, it works as is, and that's really all I wanted anyway.
