Hi Fellow Hoseheads!
First, let me thank everyone for all of the great info here.
I've learned a lot this last month using the search function.
I'm looking for info on using one of the large passover humidifiers that the blower sits on. My HH is set to just shy of max. I think I would like the same amount of moisture but at a lower temperature.
Would I also lose the auto function on my machine?
Thanks again everyone.
Large Passover Humidifier
Here are the two passover humidifiers that are listed here at CPAP.COM.

Shouldn't change the auto function of your machine.
Best wishes,

sinkem,
I couldn't run heat on my humidifier with the Hybrid, until I cut off the chin flap. If you haven't already tried that, you may want to consider doing it. Of course the oldgearhead will not be responsible, if you don't like...
I can run heat or no heat with my RemStar and the auto feature is not affected in any way. However, without heat you will get a bit less water vapor.
Do you already have the humidifier designed for your machine?

You can use the one you have as passover, just don't turn it on. However, as Oldgearhead pointed out, the laws of physics apply, air at a given temp and pressure air will only hold so much water. That is why we get Rainout, you broke the law and the water runs out on your face.... Jimsinkem wrote:Thanks guys,
I would like to remove the HH and add the passover, but I don't know if the moisture can get high enough.
I must be part fish, lol.

Large Passover humidifier
I've had good success with my Devilbiss 9100/9200. I use it with a PB420E auto. See
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/1306
It has a large surface area and makes the air go up and back four times on the way out.
You can get just the humidifier as a passover unit, or you can also get the heater base.
