Any Reviews of New ResMed AirFit F10

Hi

I am a newbie and have the ResMed Airsense 10 on a month's trial. I have the N10 mask in size extra small and am finding it fabulous. My sleep interruptions have reduced from 27 events per hour to 3.0 on the first night and are regularly 0.9 most nights. I have not used other masks so can't add comparison advice but know that I am waking up feeling very much more refreshed. Looking forward to purchasing my own Cpap machine.

Can you switch from F10 Medium mask to F10 Large mask without changing Headgear?

The only thing you have to change out is the cushion. The headgear and the mask frame uses both the medium and the large cushion.

I was using the Resmed Mirage FX nasal mask plus a chin strap. The pressure of the chin strap on my head was giving me headaches. I tried the new Resmed F10 Full Faced Mask and wasn't fussed on it. There was leakage, the mask was very close to my eyes and it had straps (silicone?) at the side of it. I am now using the Resmed Quattro Air for Her mask, in size extra small, and it works well. There are no side straps which means you have less covering your face and the base of the mask sits in the crevice of the chin (not below it). At first there was leakage at the bottom of the mask but all I did was tighten it more and I haven't had any more problems and no more headaches.

I too had tried several masks and the AirFit F10 came the closest in comfort, size, etc. But... I had some leaks still after trying all the suggestions. Then I found this cpap mask liner that took away all the leaks. It is perfect for me. They are not cheap, but I use them for two or three nights (recommend a new one each night). Used to be paid for by insurance, but no longer so you don't see them lots of places. The only complaint some might have is that you have to place them correctly on the mask and then bring it to your face. Those that get up often in the night find it a problem. I don't get up so they are the answer I have been looking for.

How? Where?
(I would prefer to at least look at the manufacturer's website and/or consider ordering from them in the hope that they provide more information and a better photo or illustration of the liner itself.)

I used it for a month and now it's gathering dust. I sincerely believe that there's a design flaw - the two brackets on either side of your cheek (the ones the strap loops over) stick out too far for side sleeping. They'll press on the pillow and cause leaks. Why'd they design this this way!? Everyone with OSA should be side sleeping whenever possible. What a pain! I've gone back to the Quattro. It may be the devil you know, but at least you can sleep with your head sideways without any problems like the air.

I sleep on my sides with an Airfit F10. And it works really well. My pressure is set 7-20 Auto. And most nights my pressure ranges from 7-12cm. And the F10 doesn't leak. I think you need to fiddle with the strap's settings to get to a position where it can even take a digging into the pillow when you sleep on your side. Another thing I saw with my F10 was that all 4 straps were tightened in different tensions for it to work for my face. Almost all nights, my large leak is zero and my average leak is below 3L/min.

When I tried the large size at my recent sleep study titration, it was too small which greatly surprised me since I have a petite face. As an FYI, the large size Quattro Air fits although just barely.

I am glad for those of you have had good success with since we all know how tough it is to find the right mask.

An old thread, but I'm still lovin' my F10 FFM after nearly six months into testing. Rarely ever a leak and if it does leak it is usually because I didn't take my time putting it on correctly when I went to bed. Thumbs up. Yes, I agree with the others, ResMed needs to make a larger size, especially wider and ASAP.

I don't see how these are any different from Remzzz at about half the cost... I did read the various reviews but nobody talked about the material they are made of. Maybe you could tell us what they are made of and what they are like to position. Are they thick or thin - cotton or microfiber? Seriously, the creator needs to have a presence on CPAPtalk, plus offer free samples if they hope to build their business and compete with the other products available.

If we knew the brand name of this product, maybe we could google to find the website of the manufacturer, whom auntjen47 says also sells them direct, and their website might contain more information about this product. In the photo at the gold violin site, I couldn't even find the liner in the picture - I only saw a photo of the nosepiece/cushion of a cpap mask. Did anyone else see a mask liner in that photo?

re the water in your mask and tube. I read somewhere in my cpap literature that the machine should be lower than the mask when in use. When I followed this advice, voila! No more waking thinking I was in a jaws movie. condensation etc was just running back down into the humidifier tank. I was one of the people who asked about the F10 but I am still using my Quattro. 15 years of cpap due to severe obstructive sleep apnoea and I cannot find an ENT surgeon who bulk bills around Sydney AUS.

The AirFit™ F10 cushion is available in size four sizes: X-Small, Small, Medium and Large. The frame for the AirFit™ F10 comes in two sizes:XS/S and M/L. All size cushions do NOT fit on all size frames. Size extra small and small AirFit™ F10 cushions fit on the XS/S frame. Size medium and large AirFit™ F10 cushions fit on the M/L frame. A size small cushion is NOT compatible with a size M/L frame and vice versa.

The AirFit™ F10 and AirFit™ F10 For Her use the same cushion as the ResMed Quattro Air Full Face Mask.

So it looks like the XS/S frame would not fit a medium cushion but you would have to go up to the M/L frame.
