help setting temperature on s9

Post by dougndoug » Tue Dec 09, 2014 12:22 am

hi - i just got heated hose, and my s9 unit won't let me set a temperature. i held down the 2 buttons to get into the secret menu, where there is settings of auto, manual or patient, and none of these let me change a temperature. all i see is the little water droplet on the menu, not a thermometer. it's kind of driving me crazy because i can't figure it out. thank you all!

Which two buttons are you holding down? You can set the Climate control to "Manual" in the clinical menu. When you do that, you will have two icons on the display -- the water droplet and a thermometer. This allows you to set temp and humidification separately.

The link in my signature box will take you to a brief video tutorial on the S9 menus and how to navigate through them. Also make sure your Climateline hose is attached correctly (also demonstrated in the video tutorial).

thanks for your response. i think the hose must be defective, or more likely the unit. it could have been wet when i attached it. maybe i shorted something out? the tube is on properly but no temperature icon. i've been in clinical menu trying auto, manual, patient modes, but no sign of being able to set hose temperature.

Sheesh, that's weird. Have you tried taking the hose off, unplugging and rebooting the machine, then re-attach the hose and try again? You should see a brief "Climateline hose attached" message on the display screen when you attach the hose. Worth a shot?
