Will probably regret this in the morning as I do cherish the freedom to express oneself. But now I am breaking my own personal guidelines by making a response to a poster I would immediately ignore.
My response is not actually to the recent guest poster (6:52) who seems to have a lock on what is the "correct" perception, but to the people more refined than I, who may sometime feel the need to respond to blatant ignorance.
My apologies to you all. I just got baited, please don't let it happen to you.

Hey everyone,
This is just a post to plug in my comments to the long list of people who commented and probably mentioned everything I'm going to ever say on this topic. Also, I kinda just skipped to the end since there seems to be some off thread topic discussion going on here as well and I'm too tired right now to read everyones posts.
I'm in SUPPORT of Guest posts. They're a good idea and should be allowed so that everyone has the ability to comment on what they feel. No its not impossibly difficult to register, but there's many who don't want to and just want to remain anonymous perhaps for good and not-so-good reasons. But those who are on this forum are usually here for a good reason or another. We're all in this together and should make it as easy as possible for those who have questions or want to share their stories or insights.
However, the delete spam button is very cool so there really shouldn't be a problem with SPAM anyways. As for the other potential problems, these happen no matter if people register or not. Just take a look a yahoo's chat rooms sometime when your really really bored. They're a waste land of bots, advertising and all kinds of other crap, because the admins are no where to be found. Also people in general just don't care anymore...
Thank goodness for the great people that admin this forum and post on here that make this such a excellent place to be on the internet.
3 cheers for Johnny and for all the others that have contributed to this site's success..!!
All the best,

I voted for the Guest posting because thats what brings people here from other forums. I was on another forums and just slowly started checking other forums. I found out about this forum from another forum and it was from a member that was leaving the other forum because of his post being removed or something. Anyway, it was said wile he was leaving that this forum was more fun and less restrictive.
I just lurked for a good wile and the Hybrid mask brought me out of the closet to start posting my experiences and getting a little help.
I finally registered when I read about all the displeasure with remaining a guest and someone else started using my name at the time which was Guest2. I must say that once I registered, I was made to feel very welcomed by some of the wonderful Ladies here, right away. It was a good feeling.
Sometimes I write a post and see I have forgotten to register and have to loose my post to go back and register. It would be a great help if we could register at the end of our post ,if we have not already done so, to prevent loosing our post or posting as guest again. Just a thought designed to add more work for Johnny and the crew.
I think sometimes registered guests are not guests, but forgot to register before posting or just want to get something off their mind. Don't you get that feeling? I can tell who they are by seeing who is targeted, sometimes.Only the form administrater can see for sure by the IP number.

However, deciding whether that may or may not impact the lives of potentially desperate guests is a preeminently more important issue in my view. I thus protest so much simply because I think there are important underlying ethics happening here.
Which is why I too think guest posting should be kept open.

Should G.U.E.S.T.S be allowed to post on this forum? I vote a resounding YES !
(how else will we know what the Greedy Undercover Equipment Supply Trolls are thinking?)
And BTW, I concur that not all DMEs are evil nor greedy. I have high regard for the ones who register and identify themselves as such, and are not ashamed of their message. I wish there were more of them, they offer good advice.
For the newcomers and the timid who come here seeking advice, they will know they came to the right place; We are here to help. I doubt anyone has an issue with that.
But the others, the anonymous cowards who have nothing to conribute and believe they have nothing to lose, the DMEs among them are easy to spot. And their hit-and-run messages carry no weight. It is a beautiful thing when idiots babble. The right thing to do is just LET THEM. They make our case so much simpler.

Might I suggest, now that this thread is six pages long, going back through this thread and reading the "flavor" of 99% of these guest postst? I just did and I won't say what I'm thinking. Some things are better left unsaid .

Hmm... that anonymous post looks alot like a hit-and-run message that carries no weight. How very timely this 'Guest' stepped in and proved Ric's point!
Probably a soon-to-be-laid-off DME.

Sleepless in LI, You've already posted 8 times in this six page thread. I don't think there's anything you could have left unsaid.

Now it's nine...thanks for counting! Nothing better to do with your time than count how many times I post in one thread? Thanks for taking such an interest and helping prove my point about guest posts.
