Can someone look at my graph?

Post by Finnc » Sun Nov 09, 2014 4:52 pm

The reason I am posting is I am still so exhausted after waking up. I see my doc next week but are there any suggestions on how to get a better night sleep?

I suffer from major insomnia issues, and then feel drug out all day when I wake up.

In my opinion your minimum pressure is too low. I would up the minimum to 7 for a few days and then to 8.

at a glance, your pressure is too low to prevent apneas and hypopneas, your effective pressure is only 4-6.2, and that just ain't cutting it.

the fact that your machine spends almost all of the night with it's face smushed against the high pressure limit is a good indicator.

Thanks, do y'all think I should wait to see the doctor or just do it tonight? I am a chicken crap about getting in trouble at doctors since getting kicked out of a practice for having my own opinion.

If you Dr. objects ... then you need to find a new DR. that you can work "WITH" !!
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Get the Clinicians manual here : http://apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-press ... tup-manual

My philosophy:
YOUR doctor is taking YOUR money......and consequently works for YOU.

If they have a problem with understanding that, then they need to be replaced with one who does.

you have to ask yourself, what's more important to you, your doctors approval, or how you feel in the mornings, and then make a decision.

as grayghost says, they work for you... though many of them seem to forget that annoying little fact.

hopefully, it'll lower your ahi, and make you feel better, and you can go into the doctors and say "I changed it this way, and this is the result, things are better".

at that point, the doctor says "GREAT!" and you go on, or the doctor says "BAD PATIENT" and you say "you're fired" and leave.

Her favorite term for me is spunky because I tell it like it is. Hopefully she will just respect my decisions. If she doesn't there are a ton of sleep doctors in Charlotte for me to choose from.
