help w/interpreting SleepyH results

Post by lastmango » Sun Nov 09, 2014 7:37 am

I am two weeks into Cpap therapy and it's going fairly well. This is my first night with an AHI below 5! So I feel good and am happy about that, but I do wonder why I had so many Obstructed events per the pie chart? If my AHI is that low, shouldn't my Clear events be much higher?

Any help? Why so much obstructed time? Thank you in advance....

Don't need AHI, snore or respiration rate graph on the right side. But maybe need leak graph.

The pie chart thing...that's whole pie and just shows the percent of each other event category as a slice of the pie.
If you only had 1 Obstructive apnea event for the entire night then the pie would be a whole blue OA pie.
The pie chart really doesn't tell us much except general idea of the breakdown into categories but nothing in terms of actual number of events.
If you had 1 OA for the entire night ...it's all blue....if you had 100 OAs it would still be all blue if there was nothing else.
I find the pie chart useless myself and just turn it off.

Clear airway events (centrals) would be part of the AHI...why would you think it should be higher with a low AHI?

Oh, I thought clear airway time was a clear airway, not a clear airway event! Oops, my bad! There is a lot to learn, and you all have been great! I will add the leak graph so it will display and eliminate the others. Thanks!
