Has anyone experienced the sensation of a hair being caught in the throat. I have read that it can be caused by things such as post nasal drip, infection, etc.
Just wondering if it might be caused by CPAP.
Thanks

Re: Sensation of hair caught in throat.
Usually only if my humidifier was set too low. Play with your humidifier settings.
Also if you are using a nasal mask make sure you are not mouth breathing.
Also make sure you don't have silent acid reflux (GERD)

I don't know about "caused by", but.......if your settings aren't optimal and you're mouth-breathing.......maybe.cnl390 wrote:Has anyone experienced the sensation of a hair being caught in the throat. I have read that it can be caused by things such as post nasal drip, infection, etc.

And, if you WERE mouth-breathing, maybe you DID get a hair caught in your throat.

Brush and vacuum Fido before you invite him onto the bed.

I have to ask. What were you doing that you had that much hair in your mouth that it would get caught in your throat?
Re: Sensation of hair caught in throat.
Any chance you're on a med like Lisinopril for blood pressure? It caused my throat to feel like a feather was tickling it.

Usually that is my clue that I am starting to get a cold. And if its too bad, I go sleep out on the couch where I can sleep sitting up either with or without the ASV depending on whether I can tolerate being masked up.
