sleepy, do a search on "aerophagia". It's a not-uncommon side effect of having all that air forced down our throats...some of it takes a side trip into our stomachs and from there....well, you get the idea.

Bloated or Gas
I have been on CPAP, level 11, using a Mirage nasal mask for 2 weeks now and have experienced the same thing right from the beginning.
I've read thru the messages here and have seen several ideas to try, plus I've talked to my supplier for his advice.
For the last 2 nights I've slept in my recliner to see if the idea of raising the head of my bed would help, and really didn't think it would. I was surprised that being in the chair cut my air ingestion by at least half, so now I'm going to try raising the head of the bed this weekend. (I would love to say I slept longer, but the kitty kept jumping up into my lap and waking me, and I just can't kick her out of the room.)
I'm also going to try raising my humidity from 2.5 to 3 to see if that matters. My DME says that helps for some people. I live near Chicago, so that level shouldn't be uncomfortable. He also said some people just stop on their own all of a sudden.
For those of you who haven't experienced this, it is VERY uncomfortable. I've even had to start wearing a bigger pair of pants in order to get through the day. I'll keep trying things until this goes away! I will NOT give up!
And when I figure out what works, I'll let you know!

Thank you for the information, I have been laying pretty flat at night now using the machine. I use to be propped up before due to allergies and what not. I will try also this weekend to see if that helps relieves it some.
I will let you know for the results I see..
