Keep in mind, I've only been on CPAP for about 3 weeks, no I'm a newbie making newbie mistakes. I would have 2-3 nights of a quiet machine, working properly, sounding good, low leakage, great AHI. Then I would have 2-3 nights of noise, too much air pressure, things just not feeling right. Went back to the sleep pros several times for fittings, new masks, etc. Everyone was convinced that nasal pillows weren't for me. The funny thing is, they felt very comfortable...didn't feel like they were leaking despite getting a "frowny face" on the bad nights.
Went 4 nights in a row when things were IDEAL. On the 5th night, it went back to crappy mode The only change was that I had added water to my humidifier. Of course that lead me to start fiddling with the reservoir making sure it had a solid seal. Sure enough, THAT was my issue. The reservoir needs to be firmly seated or you'll have nightmares like me It was so random because sometimes, by chance, I seated it correctly, and sometimes I didn't!
Simple fix, but was overlooked by me and 2-3 technicians after 3 weeks of phone calls and visits! I hope this helps somebody! NOW I can sleep!

I have had no such problem with the dishwasher-able tank.
It looks almost exactly like the standard tank, except the grip on top is a darker color.
Edit: I also wonder if you are pushing the chamber in all the way. It needs to click.

Thanks so much! I, too, am a newbie -- got my A10 on Friday, only used the humidifier Sat & Sun so far. I will go home tonight and make sure that the humidifier is clicked in. This is an easy mistake to make, too -- whenever you are dealing with water and an electrical appliance, you want to be gentle. Too gentle doesn't work either, though!

I am still waiting for my machine (same one) but I can totally see that happening to me. Thanks for the warning.

Thanks for the tip! I'll be on the look out if any pts are showing large unexpected leaks with the new A10.
