New user 3 days again.

Post by Tired Essex boy » Fri Oct 10, 2014 5:44 am

Hi all

I see people are looking at my first blog. I just need to understand how things work as it was not explained to well at the hospital. Which is the figure that shows how bad the results are, is it the apnea + hypopnea , the supine, oxygen desaturation events (od).

What is the modt important figure on the machine, is it the AHI level on sleeping.

Thanks for your time.

See the above blog for help in understanding the sleep study results.

We usually look at AHI primarily. Oxygen levels are important also .
But the main thing for diagnosis is AHI....average number of event's per hour no matter what position.
