Got a most helpful DME who spent an hour in the shop trying masks and pillows. Decided to go wit Quattro Air to go w my System One with humidifier. It was a match! The only thing I discovered over the last 4 days is that it leaked when I went from my side to back so had to tighten the straps. Also can use my memory of an pillow as this mask is less bulky side to side and doesn't shift on the pillow. I put a small pillow roll against my upper chest so there's no pull on the hose. I curled up the extra length of hose on my bedside table and secured it rolled up with a Velcro strip so it doesn't fall on the floor and pull down on the mask. That way it feeds to my mask horizontally.
Feeling less tired in the afternoon so don't have to do a coffee fix
Love this site for great support and ideas!

Re: Bingo! Found my match on first try
Good deal! I wasn't allowed to try on masks so I had to go by "looks" - but it took me only 3 times to find the one that works great for me! I'll admit I still need afternoon coffee but it's not from being tired, it's more out of habit, and something to break up the monotony of my work afternoon

Score! So jealous you can use an FFM without claustrophobia! (My only big problem with starting CPAP!)

The Quattro air looks vicious because of the forehead part. My husband thinks I look like a Star Trek alien, but it is so clear and light I didn't feel confined like the others. Plus having more of the material away from my checks helps that feeling as well as allowing me to lie on my side and not have the mask push against the pillow.
I wore it awhile without the hose on to get used to it

PS the DME let me try a nasal pillow too. He said since they have 30 days to get a mask to work her can return it to the company as one that didn't work for me. Some of the FFM that are popular and pricey didn't fit my face right.

Re: Bingo! Found my match on first try
Quattro Air was my first mask too, and like you, I found it very comfortable. I recently switched to the AirFit F10 which uses the same cushion but it doesn't have the forehead arm and strap around top of head. I really like the freedom of not having that forehead piece.
The key to taming leaks is fit, if the straps are too tight or too loose you will have more leaks. I had many leaks in the beginning and discovered that tightening the straps made the leaking worse. Then I learned about mask liners, and they solved the problem. I rarely have large leaks now, and most of the leaks I do have don't wake me up. If you find that leaks bother you too much or wake you up, you might want to consider using liners.

Re: Bingo! Found my match on first try
Here's a question about the Airfit F10. Can one use the standard ResMed Quattro FX FFM headgear with it The reason I ask is that I've got several of the aforementioned new headgear units around and can get a good deal on the mask assembly only.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
Re: Bingo! Found my match on first try
The Quattro Air and F10 share cushions but not headgear.
