Do you think it would be a good idea to say which machine and model # you're using? And at what pressure(s)? And what mask you use? How can we help with no information at all?

I'll post the same thing I did in your *other* post on the *same* subject:

I'd suggest that if you want to stop breathing so fast, then you ... stop breathing so fast.

unless you have a bi-level machine, then your machine cares not at all when you breath.

and only a very few very specialized bi-level machines have any concern about the speed of your breathing, and that is usually set at a very slow rate, say a breath every 5 seconds.

or, as my roommate says "what can I do to stop breathing so fast?.... DON'T"

that said, this looks like one (now two) of those runby bullshit trolling attempts.

People usually hyperventilate when they have an anxiety attack, you might as well tell people to just lower their blood pressure, it is just as easy.

The trick is to breathe into a paper bag, the CO2 levels will trigger your brain to slow down.

heh, funny you should say that, given that it *is* just as easy.

take a few good, long, calm deep breaths and your blood pressure readings do go down.

It can help to know that cpap follows your breathing, as opposed to the other way around.
Wearing the machine while watching TV or reading can help us get used to how it feels--
before the lights go out and we are lying in the dark, feeling weird.

Yes which machine?

Settings like Cflex can get your breathing out-of-sync and if you are using a low pressure setting say 4-8 cm (or ramp) it can be you are not getting enough air.

For some people, for a short while. If it was that easy most people would not be using BP meds. And yes I know all the various relaxation methods and I have taught them and I still need to take BP meds.
