Yes, lets designate "experts" who can police the board and determine what posts are appropriate to be alowed here and which are not.

while we're at it, they can screen newbies and determine which ones are needy enough to be worthy of being here.

please!!! leave this board as is..... its great warts and all......it is refreshing to have openness & snarkiness and nastiness in this age of uber political corectness.

Carolyn has acted.
It's done. Let it go.

We've had the forum police discussion in the past and I know we will have it again in the future. It's not going to happen unless Johnny changes how he wants this forum to be and it's his forum and we play here by his rules (or minimal rules) because he lets us and thus have to accept his rules or don't play here.

There's always going to be bullies on the playground. I hate it too but it's what we have to deal with sometimes if we want to play here. I know it's hard to ignore the bullies/trolls/troublemakers but if no one plays with them they don't get to bully anyone and even if they don't leave...they are much less annoying....don't goad them. Believe me I know how hard it is....my fingers are bloody sometimes from my biting my fingers to keep me from responding to a troublemaker who just wants to be an ugly disruption or stir up trouble.

Thank You Pugsy for all that do for us on this board. Especially this!

You're not hearing me. Contrary to popular belief, some threads do not die a natural death. This one met that criteria.

Anyway, I need to PM Caroline while I am thinking of it. Have you done that?

49er, I can't seem to state this simply enough for you, so here it is in bold print: If a thread won't die, it's because posters like you insist on continuing to respond to it.

I have been away from the forum for awhile but last evening I decided to see what was happening............. WOW.... I could not believe what I was reading, Shelagh, you need to step back from the computer and take a deep breath, you were asked very nicely by several members to let the thread die, but no you had to continue. Pugsy and others I am happy that you took measures into your own hands and got the thread locked by Carolyn... good job. The thread justified my leaving in the first place, too many snipes at folks, instead of doing what this forum was intended for in to first place... HELP those that need help with their sleep apnea. I for one would never have made it without the help of those good folks here, and for that I sincerely THANK YOU. I don't want to see this forum moderated either, we have had a few trolls that have upset the apple cart by making up stories and lies, but we have weathered those storms, LETS SETTLE DOWN AND GO BACK TO WHAT YOU ALL DO BEST.. HELP THOSE THAT NEED IT.
Cheers

Well, at least this topic has a less scary sounding name... other than that, it does seem to be a continuation of the other topic...

Are you thinking of volunteering to be the forum police?
