Need advice on new nasal pillows solution other than swift.
Hello,
My spouse has finally voiced dissatisfaction with the Mirage Swift I use.
Too noisy and the air blowing directly on the face if we sleep face-to-face. The only time it doesn't bother them is when spooned with me facing outwards. But then my back begins to hurt if I stay in this position too long, for comfortable sleep I need to be able to switch from side to back to the other side over the course of several hours.
I'm still trying to train myself to sleep on my back, but I'm most comfortable side sleeping with the ocassional turn during the night which then blows air.
What nasal pillows works very well, as good as if not better than the Mirage swift, but also reduces the amount of air blown on the sleeping partner? I may switch back to the Activa face mask, but the therapy is nowhere near as effective.
The complaint also only came when I requested the reason they were pulling away from me during sleep. Naturally my self-confidence originally had me looking at my weight gain, but it turned out to be the air from the mask. My sense of love and self-worth requires me to work out a solution that has my spouse holding me during sleep, so this needs to be addressed almost as well as the therapy itself.
Any suggestions? Remember my self-confidence and sense of love won't be helped if I send them off to the couch or another room.

Not a pillow, but I still like the Nasal Aire II. I am on my second one, and it tops my list of seven masks that I own.

Aeiomed's "Headrest with nasal pillows" mask (also called the "Aura") absolutely won't blow the exhaust air at the bed partner, no matter what sleep position you're in.
It's the mask I've been using for over a year now. By far my favorite of any mask I've tried. The Breeze is a good one, too, but can blow air out front toward the bed partner.
Aeiomed's mask has the exhaust vent up at eyebrow level and pointing straight up. It's the cleverest exhaust design I've seen...doesn't hit partner and doesn't hit your head pillow, bed covers, your arm...anything.

Rested Gal,
Thank you very much, you provided the information that I desparately needed.
Unfortunately my DME doesn't currently provide the Aeiomed's product line, but when checking with Aeiomed they are actively courting the provider. What this does mean is that I'll need to purchase online until such a time my DME can provide this interface.
I noticed you metioned "deconstructed" in some of your other threads. Could you provide more details on how to maximize the comfort, weight and so on with the Headrest?
Again, I very much appreciate dsmith, racefan, MartiniLovers and your replies to my inquiry. You all are very helpful and encourage fellow OSA sufferers such as myself.

Here are a couple links you can click on to rested gal's deconstructed aura.

I took RG's advice and bought the Aura Headrest, and I even deconstructed it. I love it and will never switch (but I do have to get a full face mask for back-up when I get a cold).
It's the only nasal pillows that I know of that won't blow air straight at your bedpartner.
Love it. Love it. Love it.
