if the donate link is not active, and the site is very sub par at best. the owner may sell you the domain for very cheap, like cost or a tad bit of a profit.

would be good to contact him/her and see if they will sell it. would be a good domain for you to have.

Just as how it is often to a mans best interest when wealthy or a celebrity/or both to settle out of court quietly even if accused of rape, rather than go to trial and have the news, although false hit the media for then it will have a life of its own that no one can control.

I just went to BlueHost where I've built some websites for my colleagues and myself, to see what domain names are available. Sleepyhead(dot)com was originally registered in 2000 but also doesn't have a website so might be purchasable -- the whois directory website has a "make an offer" button on that domain name.

The domain name Sleepyheadsoftware(dot)com is available and personally I think it would be a great domain name to distinguish the site as the real site for Mark's software. If he could secure both sleepyhead and sleepyheadsoftware that would be ideal. Brand new domain names are very inexpensive. I'm not sure about domain names purchased from a private owner, I haven't ever tried that.

I also looked at the sleepyheadcpap website which is a WordPress website with no copy yet. Then I went back to the WHOIS directory. The domain name was first registered in October 2012, almost two years ago. So it's curious that the website has not been developed yet -- could be undergoing renovation I suppose. But many people sign up for domain names and web hosting and then never do anything with them.

I doubt that the website in question is a sneaky or sinister operation. "Sleepyhead" is a very common expression and a quick search shows that lots of companies and organizations have used it in their website domain names. For example, Sleepyheads(dot)com is a website that sells pajamas. Sleepyhead(dot)com.au is a website that sells mattresses. I wouldn't worry too much about that sleepyheadcpap website, maybe just check periodically to make sure they're not claiming any association with Mark's software.

I would happily volunteer to set up a simple website like that for you.

I downloaded from an unauthorized site the first time and had so much malware I had to take my laptop in and have it scrubbed is what the guy that find it called it!

Now I have the authorized and it works fine

I did the same Sleepyhead search thing with virtually the same results. After I finished my easy five minute search, I subsequently realized Mark knows all this and made the choice not to get a website and take on the required cost and maintenance (BTW, in case there's any doubt, he's a lot smarter than 99% if us on CPAPtalk regarding the internet and computers ) He's obviously made some cost analysis spreadsheet in his head and decided not to go that way. I can respect that.

sleepfiles.com/SH is safe, and is the main "home" for SleepyHead now.
