Profile Question

Post by Danilinn » Tue Jul 08, 2014 12:23 pm

Trying to fill out my profile and the machine I use isn't on the list.
I got my machine 3 years ago and was told by the sleep study doctor that the DME game me a dinosaur, so I can't say I am shocked, just wondering what to do.
I have the Sleep Style 200.

Equipment profile choices are tied to whatever equipment cpap.com either sells now or has sold in the past.
If your machine isn't offered then just manually type in the name of the machine into the comments section of the profile. See how I have my S9 Adapt added to my profile in the comments section of my profile.
The equipment menu choices don't cover all the machines made now or have been made in the past and the discontinued models have broken links anyway. So we just tell people to manually add them whenever they either don't show up or aren't offered.

You can just type in whatever info you want in your profile, along with pressures and/or other things you think might be relevant. You don't need to use icons at all - and it's better for us if you don't as it means we have to click on them to find out what your mask is.

I keep trying to figure out how you keep your mask on your cute little green nose.

Danilinn

The Fisher-Paykel 200 is a CPAP line with several different models. Could you check on the particular model you have. Some are more data capable than others. For example the 230 seems to be a brick while the 238 is more capable at least that is what seems to be said in the user manual.

If you don't already have a copy of your prescription, you should get a copy for your records.
Also it is helpful to have a copy of your sleep study and titration study. The information in them will be helpful in managing your treatment.

I found a picture of the model I have. On the machine all it says is Fisher - Paykel Sleep Style 200 CPAPseries. It's the one in picture that looks like a brick with water chamber on front.

After a little Googling, it seems to be the 230 model.

I have figured out how to check nightly usage, still unsure about software. Doesn't appear to be available on this model. Wish I would have known more when I was diagnosed 3 years ago. I wouldn't have settled for such a useless machine!

Well except for the breathing and keeping me alive part, guess It's not completely useless

So sorry about the brick. It happens a lot in spite of our best efforts.
In the future, you can plan to get the next one with full data.
