robysue - just saw your questions. Its not so much the inhaling, its the exhaling. I will adjust my mask but it won't get much better. I think its maybe also mental too. I called to make appt to try another mask and the lady said that she has heard people saying before that they feel like they can't breathe with the nasal pillows. I will definitely look into the sleepyhead app info posted. Thank yoU!

If you are having issues with exhaling....play with Flex settings available on your machine to see if a different setting helps or makes it worse. If it isn't even turned on...turn it on.
Get that manual I told you about..it explains how and your options.

I saw the Flex box on the screen. And I have a manual. Does my machine already have an SD card?

If your DME put a modem (wireless transfer of compliance data) on the back of the machine they may have removed the SD card. Look on the back up above where the filter goes. The SD card slot is right up at the top. If they took out the SD card you can get any SD card and put it in the slot and the machine stores almost all the information in its internal memory that it would put on the SD card so you won't miss much.

If it has a modem on it...easy to pop it off and look for the SD card..and then pop it back on when done. No one will ever know unless you tell them and there's no reason to tell them.

There is an antenna on the back. Is that the modem? I usually good with technology!

yep, sounds like the modem.

Do you have the user manual or the provider/clinical manual? I think the clinical manual explains modem and SD card stuff...I am unsure what the user manual shows.

The modem can be easily removed though. I bet they removed the SD card but from what I have seen the modem should work just fine with the SD card in place.

Just wanted to let you all know that I was able to sleep all night last night with the mask on. I lowered the flex to 1 and lower the pressure at first. yay!

Jonesy35, one thought about your having difficulty with the nasal pillows. Sometimes if I tighten them too much it feels strange, a bit like I can't breathe. Relax the straps and off to the land of nod I go ... YMMV.
