ResMed Elite 9 software issue
Just wondering if anyone else using my machine and its' software has had any issues downloading data. I have not downloaded in atleast 3 months, but upon trying this morning, found NO DATA in my report. It brought up the usual screen, I was prompted to click on whatever data I wanted it to calculate and when it arrives at the normal screen, there is no data anywhere. Was there a software update that I missed or something? Or is this a bug? I would appreciate any response as I am perplexed.....

You may need to confirm that sleep report is ON.
Some DME's like to shut it off, because they are territorial about "their" information.
YouTube has videos on how to get into the clinical menu.

I'm not sure I understand.
Do you have a copy of Rescan on your PC?
I have a S9 Elite and except for a few quirks getting detail data and duplicate days every now and then I have not had any problems. But I don't send my data to anyone and I will run my own reports if necessary.

Re: ResMed Elite 9 software issue
I got my machine in February and really have not had any "software" issues with the machine itself. I will say though that I had issues with ResScan, and immediately stopped using it in favor of Sleepyhead. ResScan somehow wiped my SD card clean, and I found that software very limited in the information it provided.
Now I always write-protect my SD card when it is out of the Elite S9. Saves any possibility of the card being overwritten.
I quickly found out that inserting the card into a computer with Windows 8.1 was an issue.

As mentioned, the clinical menu will help you to see your Elite settings, including your SW version, etc.Windows 8.1 creates a directory and file "\System Volume Information\IndexerVolumeGuid". (The folder is hidden, but you can see the file by opening your card in Windows Explorer and manually entering the directory in the location bar.)
Their presence seems to confuse the ResMed and some other equipment. If you forget to lock the card before using it with Windows 8.1 and your ResMed wants to reformat the card, choose "No" and put the card back in your computer (still unlocked).
You can remove the directory and file from the command prompt (or a batch file) with the following commands (for an SD card in drive F: in this example):
del "F:\System Volume Information\IndexerVolumeGuid"
rmdir "F:\System Volume Information"
It should then be accepted by the ResMed without reformatting.
