FF mask recommendations for high pressure

Post by Stevoreno_55 » Tue May 27, 2014 10:32 am

I'm seeking recommendations for a good FF mask because I'm a mouth breather and my current CPAP pressure is 18cm. I return to a hospital based lab to be titrated next week and I will not be surprised if my pressure has increased once next week's test is over since being tested previously in October 2007. Are FF masks made by ResMed considered to be better than those made by Philips Respironics? Since my lab already knows my current CPAP pressure which is 18cm will the lab more than likely titrate me next week on a FF mask rather than a nasal mask with a chin strap?

This might help:

http://www.cpaphelpdesk.com/cpap-settings.html
Recommended CPAP Full Face Masks for High CPAP Settings.

1. Respironics Comfort Gel Full Face

2. Resmed Mirage Quattro

3. Fisher and Paykel Forma

4. DeVilbiss Easy Fit Gel Full Face Mask

5. Hans Rudolph 7600 series V2

Recommended Hybrid CPAP Masks for High CPAP Settings

The Hybrid
I have also read in reviews of the Ultra Mirage that for some people, it was effective with high pressures. Same for Simplus.

Hope this helps.
