Forehead/Nose Protectors for Full Face Mask

Post by davesq » Tue May 20, 2014 1:10 pm

I've been having a lot of discomfort from my full face mask (Philips Respironics Amara FFM with the silicone/gel pads). If I can manage to wear it for most/all of the night, I get the red marks/bruises on the bridge of my nose, and sometimes on my forehead. Does anyone know any good products that I can get to maybe help with this problem, and has anybody tried this product out: http://www.cpapsupplyusa.com/0501ym05-P ... ector.aspx

Any help you can give me is much appreciated.

I've not tried Karen's product for nose/forehead protection, but I'm sure it would work. Her other products work well; a lot of people here on the forum use them. The RemZzzzs mask liners will also work for the nose, and each box comes with a couple of forehead protectors that you can wash and reuse.

Now using AirFit F10 mask; Quattro Air is backup mask. RemZzzz mask liners with both.

I had the same trouble, tried lining the part of the mask that comes in contact with my skin with various suggestions and had some relief...than ordered Karens liner for full face masks from padacheek and I am EXTREMELY HAPPY with how well they work, not only has this product stopped all the irritation it has also d/c all the air leaks I was having...good luck:)

It's called Pad-a-Cheek.com (and why no one said so I'm not sure).

That is why I switched after trying four (4) other masks to the Fischer Paykel Simplus full face mask. The top of my nose was getting chewed up by the strap pressure I had to use to prevent frequent leaking with the Quattro FFM. The seal fits my face better and there is no pressure on my nose or forehead. My nose is normal, again. Remember, not all faces are the same and the geometry of each mask is slightly different.
