Activated oxygen c-pap cleaner

I just read the section about cleaning the c-pap. Does anyone use the So Clean device that uses O3 (Ozone) to sterilize the c-pap? Does it work? Is it necessary? Thank you for any advice!

It has been discussed before. The device is not cheap, and, as a sanitizer, will not replace conventional washing.
A few here swear by it; anyone with low immunity might want to consider it.
Maybe I should consider it due to hubby's respiratory infections . . .

I do not have experience with ozone for this purpose, but I have used it for odor removal. I once rented an apartment the bedroom of which a previous tenant's cat had obviously used as a litter box. I borrowed an ozonator from a relative, shut it up in that bedroom for a week while I slept on the couch. It completely eliminated the previously-overpowering stench of ammonia.

Under normal circumstances it shouldn't ever be needed - I doubt if more than a very few here have ever used it and think it's used more in hospitals where many patients are put on the same machine at different times, just as disposable masks are used there.
