Hi,
I have been on CPAP and now Bi-Pap therapy for about 2 years. My pressure is 17/13 with timax of 2 and timin of 0.3. I have easy breathe enabled as well. I never wake up
feeling refreshed always very tired still. I had two sleep studies and definitely had a ton of AHI. My machine reports anywhere from 0.5 to 1.5 AHI on the average night. I also wake up feeling like it changed my natural breathing pattern overnight as well. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

*bump*
Don't want your post to get lost. Do you have the clinical manual for your machine?

Re: Newbie, need advice
I had to get my AHI down to like .2 to feel refreshed. First you need to assure us that your leaks are under control. Then do you ever have centrals from pressure, or might have centrals? Do you have other medical conditions?
I say that because, with an machine set on auto, I started increasing the pressure, which decreased my AHI to .2 range, while giving me extreme aerophagia. Now I have graduated to a VPAP. I believe the following. The lower pressure keeps the airway open. The higher pressure is related to the fact my airway is so small I can not get enough air in a cycle to inflate my lungs with the lower pressure. Now I think the if the higher pressure is set too high, it changes from inhale to exhale too quickly.
Then you may have other breathing issues than mine. I am now concerned with my hypothyroid, keeping my body temperature about a degree and a half below normal, can allow for Candida to grow in my gut, which makes alcohol, thereby making me a bit foggy from that. This is a standard problem for hypothyroid, and not much to be done from my stand point, except not eat sugar or starch.
Soon I will see my doc to follow up on the suggestion from AARP that one change a beta-blocker to a calcium channel drug to get rid of a reduction of mental acuity that apparently goes with beta-blockers.
I think you might post your data, some here are far more knowledgeable than I on what might be useful.

Re: Newbie, need advice
Please post an image of your detailed report from your software.
Are you taking any meds? If so what, dose, and when?
How many hours of sleep are you averaging?
Are those hours of sleep fragmented for any reason (wake up often)? If so, any idea why?
Don't know how to post an image of your detailed report? Explained in this thread with examples.

Re: Newbie, need advice
I will post some data from resscan or sleepyhead when I return to my home on Friday as I do not have the reader here (Visiting parents).
I currently also take:
Lexapro 20mg/day
Protonix 40mg/day
I use RemZzZ liners as well on my mask.

Re: Newbie, need advice
Research Lexapro and all the potential side effects...
which include these below which stand out significantly and while you are at it do some research about SSRIs in general and their typical side effects as well as potential effects on sleep architecture
drowsiness, tired feeling;
sleep problems (insomnia);
and when you have time...answer these questions.
