Help im new with bipap!!

Wow...so...this is tough! I need it I get it but man oh man it is hard to get used to. First day give me a just nose one and that was a disaster area because I'm a mouth breather. The next day I got the full mouth and nose piece is very difficult to sleep with scuba gear on but I am trying to stick with it. The last two nights I have experience leaking has an air going into my eye and down on my chin have also experienced an inordinate amount of belching in the middle of the night....anyone with these issues? Also I keep taking it off in the middle of the night without even knowing......uugghhh...I want this to work so bad!!

What are your pressure settings?
Air in the stomach and the belching...that's called aerophagia. It's common and often goes away with time but sometimes adjustments might be needed to the pressures to help reduce the impact.
Search the forum for aerophagia and you will get lots of discussion.
If you are already using a bilevel pressure machine (BiPap is the Respironics model for bilevel and VPAP for Resmed) then that model offers the greatest relief but you still may need some adjustments depending on what the pressure settings are and just how bad the aerophagia is and whether it reduces on its own or not.

Mask leaks...using a full face mask presents a challenge due to surface area touching the skin.
Once you tell us which mask...others who use that mask can maybe offer specific ideas to help reduce the leaks.
Mask liners is one option. You can buy them or make your own.

I posted my machine and settings on the site under baronessjuliet13. I'm not sure how to marry the 2 sites. Im a little confused. Let me know what I can do. I'm so grateful for any help. I'm struggling.

To post equipment: Go to User Panel (upper left hand corner) and click on it - click on Profile - then click on Edit Equipment. That's the only way that I was ever able to do it and to make changes as necessary.
