so, throwing the doors open, doing what the machine makers should have been doing this whole time. asking you the end user, what are you needing help with that could make things better. one for sure is mask harness or straps or what every you want to call them.
we talked about masks and modding them, got into a tad bit of warn water there, the pesky patents and stuff, and regs of proper mask designs and gas mixing and a few other things. I do not see what the big deal is, we know what is needed we just need a way to test and make sure it meets or beets the standards. as for machine shutdown and breathing afterwards. there are a ton of options for dealing with that.
anyways what other things are needed looked at from a end users point of view?
any an all ideas or needs that you guys have are welcome, I am new, you guys know way more about problems and needs.
ideas or things you would like changed, open to any and all

I would strongly suggest that YOU put more time into YOUR OWN therapy and quit beating this dead horse.space45 wrote:so, throwing the doors open, doing what the machine makers should have been doing this whole time. asking you the end user, what are you needing help with that could make things better. one for sure is mask harness or straps or what every you want to call them.

Give it a rest......you have NO idea what you're talking about. And, from reading your own posts, I get the opinion that YOU don't even know how these machines work. So, I get the impression you want someone else to do the work for you.
ALL of my equipment is between 7 and 9 years old and I can't think of much else that it could do for me.
Finally, the subject of a universal-type of XPAP machine where the user could select and use an algorithm of their choice is an old one and was discussed years ago on the forum. It didn't get very far.......even with some of the most intelligent members of the forum discussing it.

Elimination of pressure rise upon exhale.
Reduce noise and vibration
Eliminate “clear airway sensing / pacing” pressure pulses
Instead of responding to events with pressure changes (reactive) use measurement of tongue volume and inflammatory bio markers along with indications of general muscle tone to determine the pressure to use during the night.
Use variable EERS[1] or dynamic CO2 therapy[2] the amount of which is determined by active measurement of the flow data to quash over reactive respiratory events before they become hypocapnic central apneas and hypopneas.
More to come...

Is that a big problem?Todzo wrote:perhaps we should consider theft preventionchunkyfrog wrote:Yikes, here we go again! At least it's not the pole lock.
If it's covered by homeowner's insurance, one could claim to have had theirs stolen and get a new one. Still paid for by insurance but maybe with a smaller deductible.
