The flop 10 article seems to be full of pseudoscience. At least the flip 7 article is referencing studies.

Then again my bias is to want coffee to be good for us.

Because "research" can "prove" both flip and flop it actually has proven that it is ineffective.

We need much better research methodologies.

I second this (although my last cup after dinner IS decaf).

Coffee is one of the few simple pleasures I have left. I've been drinking coffee since I was 6 and to this day, I still drink it every morning and now with K-cup technology, I enjoy a fresh cup once or twice every afternoon as well. As a matter of fact, my husband just bought me a new K-cup brewer yesterday because my old one is showing signs of going bad! Didn't want to wait for it to stop completely.

I don't care what people say, I won't give up coffee. Nope, not gonna happen.

That second article doesn't even pretend to be science, just the new-age ramblings of someone who describes herself this way:
Hey There! I’m Corona. Your spiritually-savvy life strategist. A Holistic Health and Life coach with a heaping side-serve of heart, Yoga Teacher and qualified EFT and Reiki practitioner. But more than all that, I’m a seeker. A searcher. A deep-down diver into all things soulful. I truly believe that way too many beautiful, amazing women are struggling in their lives because they've turned away from their truth. Their essence. Basically, they've lost touch with their soul. My mission is to help women reconnect with that innermost part of themselves, the light that’s always shining underneath the surface.
There's more, but that gives the tone. It's not even pseudoscience, just goofball moralism. Coffee isn't just bad for you, it's "wicked." Then she recommends another caffeinated beverage, green tea, as one of the possible replacements.

Good coffee is one of life's most harmless and inexpensive luxuries. The little ritual of grinding and brewing discourages indiscriminate overindulgence. Excellent coffee, like excellent beer, doesn't make you want to toss down one after another. I make no claim that any of these observations are science either.

To be honest I did not carefully read either article. I could, I suppose, find articles which support both points from equal academic viewpoint but my point simply is that, as we all have seen if we are over 40 years of age, they flip flop all the time on nutrient valuation. Good bad, positive negative.

Our current methodologies encourage this. It is great for business but bad for actual health.

P.S. Please do enjoy your coffee tea and beer!

6. Coffee May Decrease Your Risk of Dying

This is from the more scientific study? I'm sorry, but everybody faces a 100% chance of dying.
