SleepyHead for PRS1 BiPAP auto SV Advanced

Post by jjv001 » Fri Mar 28, 2014 10:39 am

I have a new PRS1 BiPAP auto SV Advanced Model 960P which I've been using for two months. The SleepyHead software is not showing any Event markers for Apneas, Hypopneas, CAs, etc. on the the Flowrate plot. Only 4 plots have any data (Flowrate, Mask Pressure, Insp Time and Exp TIme). Also, the AHI and other measures are ridiculously high and incorrect (AHI 63724.07 for example).

Is there a SleepyHead build available that will work properly for the auto SV Advanced? I've gone to the SourceForge site but can't find anything,

Machine: PRS1 BiPAP auto SV Advanced Model 960P
SleepyHead version: v0.9.3-0
Operating Systems: Windows 7 64-bit, Windows Vista 64-bit

I've used SleepyHead extensively with my old PRS1 BiPAP Auto without any problems. I know how to set preferences and everything looks OK. I've been using SleepyHead with my new machine but am frustrated because I can't see the Event markers.

To the best of my knowledge, SleepyHead doesn't yet fully work with the PRS1 BiPAP auto SV Advanced machines. And the problems you report are indeed the issue.

PM pugsy and she'll get you set up with the correct version of Encore that will work with both your ASV machine and your computer.

From recent reading you'll need to run Encore Pro 2.2... somebody will be along to give you the links. I see you're running Win 7 so that should install okay, don't upgrade to Win 8 in the interim,or it will be a lot more difficult.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Just as a note .. SleepyHead did not work with my 950 ASV unit. However, I decided to use the time tested (uninstall / install) to see if it work work then. It should not have made a difference, but it did. SleepyHead now works with my 950 ASV unit.

It might not make a difference, but it never hurts to try. Uninstall it (completely) and reinstall it. It only takes a few minutes. If it still does not work, you won't be out a lot of time and effort.
