Mask Question

Post by RobertinTX » Wed Mar 12, 2014 5:51 pm

Hello and I hope everyone is having a good day.
I currently use a Fisher&Paykel Flex Fit 407 and have used them for years.
I am thinking of trying a full face mask as I do wake up with a dry mouth, I assume from mouth breathing.
Of those people using a full face mask what would you recommend ?
I've been looking at them on CPAP.com and notice quite a few.
I like the Forma Fisher&Paykel and the Quattra Res Med..
Again, what would you recommend ?
lmao, I wish they had a try me program....

I think most people using a FF mask would recommend the one they are using. Everyones face shape is different. You are going to try several. According to cpap.com...Quattro is the most popular FF mask.

I used a Mirage Quattro FFM for a long time and it served me well, but i wanted to try other masks because the Quattro would sometimes leave the bridge of my nose sore in the morning depending on my sleep position. I tried a few different FFM with no luck until i tried the F&P Simplus. the Simplus has much more silicon cushion material in the bridge of the nose area and it turned out to be much more comfortable for me and my face shape. As the previous poster mentioned whats good for one face may not be good for another, its a very individual thing - with that in mind if i were you i would consider purchasing the return insurance on a different mask, so if a new mask doesnt work out for you it can be returned. Our sponsors (cpap dot com) do offer return insurance on most masks - its well worth a few extra bucks for the peace of mind to be able to return a mask that doesnt work out. Keep the Simplus in mind, and good luck with your search - I am glad that i tried a few different masks and was lucky enough to finally find a Full Face that i really like.

After 7 nights with Fisher PAYKEL Simplus the bridge of my nose is much better than with Quatro. I still have cheek leaks when on my back but strap tension is much less. I also really like the Simplus' very easy cleaning. I drool.
