F&P Icon+ data

I am I newbie (starting week two). I am using a F&P Icon + and wondering if there is anyway I can see my data (how often I walk up at night, how long I am sleeping). I see Sleepyheads works for some CPAP machines but not the Icon+. Is there other options?

It's going to depend on machine model....as some models don't report anything but compliance data and even if you do have a machine that reports efficacy data (AHI, Leak, etc).

I may have a source for you. I can't help with install or use though.

Hey Pugsy. I am in the same boast as Codemonkey. Just got my new ICON + a couple of weeks ago and would like to see some data on how I am doing, specifically what CPAP pressure it is using most of the time. The flash drive that it came with has some software on it that I loaded on my PC, but it ask for a "date of birth" and mine is not accepted. I got this unit new off of Craigslist from a lady who said she got it, along with some Pilairo nasal pillows and a Respironics Tru Blu nasal mask, for her father who refused to wear it. I have asked her for her fathers DOB, but have got no response. I have tried the Sleepyhead software, but I don't think it supports the Icon yet, despite all reports to the contrary. (at least I haven't been able to get it to work). Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you have the Icon Plus....SleepyHead won't work
If you have the Icon without the Plus...SleepyHead should work so get with me if that's the case.

I will send you a PM in a bit but you are on your own with the F & Psoftware.
Not sure what the DOB has to do with things...wonder if there is a way to reset the machine (erase prior user's data) and also erase the flash drive....maybe if you start all over with blank flash drive???? Just a guess and that's what I would want to do anyway...first thing...remove all the prior user's therapy data from everything.

Do you have the clinical manual? It might be available on the apneaboard by now. I haven't checked lately.
The Icon +.....the Plus part means the machine is fairly new in terms of being released.

Let me go compose a PM....check in just a bit.

Also, same thing to you...make sure that the model you have even offers data..they don't all offer full data.

Yes, I am pretty sure mine offers data. It was a new machine with zero hours on it when I got it a couple of weeks ago, I checked. It had never been removed from the box. The "plus" part is because it is auto-adjusting. It would seem to me that if the Sleepyhead software can be made to work with one version of the Icon it should work with all 3 of them, but what do I know. I have tried to download the Infosmart software from torrent, but I don't have much experience with torrents and I haven't had much success. I think I just got a bunch of adware. Again any help or thoughts would be appreciated. At this point I am ready to call F&P which i have heard will be fruitless.

Not true....there are models that have the + that aren't auto adjusting. It was a model change that added the plus...changes to all models.

SleepyHead was one man's creation and still is. He has been ill and not able to work on further updates and getting SleepyHead to work with additional machines.
Spending lots of time updating it to work with the F & P Icon +.... isn't going to happen.
Not enough people will be using the F & P Icon + ...for one reason...and the other is he simply isn't even able to get the main brands work done.

SleepyHead will work with the prior model series that doesn't have the Plus thing as part of model name.

Bad, bad place...I never use Torrents.

Did you get InfoSmart 1.1 or 1.0? 1.0 wont work with the new models with + in them.
I am surprised that torrents had 1.1...because it is so new.

F & P software is just a general PITA to install and use...I know DMEs who stopped supplying F & P machines just because of the software. You have to register it because all you get is a 30 day trial...how to do that is discussed somewhere on the forum.

The infosmart software is practically useless. I was only able to get mine to work once, waste of time and effort

I have been using an F&P Icon+ auto for about a month now, and really like it. I did not have an economical option to get the S9 Autoset that everyone raves about

I got my F&P from eBay for $300. It only had 36 hrs non-resettable runtime, and was in almost perfect condition. I learned eBay does not allow selling of machines, however, I got lucky and go mine before they took down the add.

I got the clinician's manual from apneaboard.com (had to request it by email). I was able to reset all the former owner's data using info in the manual.

I bought the InfoSmart software from directhomemedical.com for $85. The InfoSmart software installed easily (had to "Run as Administrator" on Win7 x64). There was a bit of a learning curve on how to use it, but not too difficult. After installation, it needs to be registered, and it requests a company name. I used an abbreviation of my name and added Co. They do not verify the company name.

I had a small problem with the report format that was related to my Windows graphics setting. After I set that properly, the report format was perfect. There is a post on apneaboard.com that describes the problem and (easy)solution (search for post by JRBWallace - not me, he is the OP).

BTW: The software on the USB that requests DOB is designed only to send data to your DME, it is not the InfoSmart application.

I have been running the reports for 19 days now without a hitch and have found the information extremely useful. The following links are reduced images of the some of the data on the reports, the actual reports are more comprehensive, and are very clear Adobe PDF format. I was also able to run the latest version of SleepyHead, but like InfoSmart much better for my needs, YMMV......

I just ordered an Icon Plus and received it on Tuesday. I found the software at the pirate website. It took me a few downloads to get the right download. You have to have a torrent program to properly download the program, and you have to have a Daemon tool to then download it from the torrent program, and then it will download onto your computer. I am not a torrent user, so I downloaded the adspam programs instead a couple of times before figuring it out. You also have to click the right link, instead of the false download links, but it still only downloads correctly with a torrent program on your computer.

I then got the registration number from F and P. I entered it yesterday morning, though it is still seeing my trial expires in 29 days. I also have the USB stick and it says that my birth date is not accepted, but I am hoping that once my registration is finalized, it will no longer say that.

I do not think anybody ever used this machine prior to me (that would be false advertising) but I am also hoping that if the USB is finally accepted, then when I replace it in my machine I can get to the advanced options on the Icon.

I switched from a CPAP I have had since 2003, a resmed, that still works but is getting older. I am still adjusting to the automatic CPAP, may have been spoiled with too much pressure on the older machine, but it works fine, I am just used to heavier pressure before I fall asleep.

Anyone wanting the new InfoSmart 1.1 version that works with the Icon + (and I imagine the older models too)...

I have been using F&P Icon Auto + that I got at the end of August with The latest version of Sleepyheads and it seems to work for the most part. There are some bugs that show up but for the most part its usefull.
