Quattro Air vs. Quattro FX - FFM; night & day difference
FYI, the leaks dropped significantly when I swapped out the FX for the Air. My DME provider informed me that the FX is being phased out and that the Air has been selling well. Wished I had known about the Air previously, but I have it now. -Chuck-

Good to hear that you could find the mask that is right for you. It is one of the toughest parts of this therapy.

Changing out my Mirage Quattro for the Quattro Air was truly a life-changing event for me. No more leaks and no more Hamburger Nose Syndrome. Easiest FFM to put on/take off I've ever seen, and so simple and easy to separate the seal for daily cleaning and reinstall. I just wish they made it in an XL, because it does run a size small and I need a larger size than a large-but for now I'll make do.

I tried the FX for a backup during allergy season and found leaks and difficult for side sleeping.
I then tried the Air and it seemed better at first and quieter. However after a couple of nights found it uncomfortable where it hit the cheekbones - seems narrower than the FX. And when I checked Sleepyhead I found the leaks were actually a lot higher.
Maybe I need a larger size.

It's hard to believe ResMed would dump the Quattro FX for several reasons:
one... it doesn't have a forehead stabilizer, which some people just hate. There are not many viable alternatives out there.
two... it actually has a fairly narrow profile for typical FFMs. Side sleeping is usually doable for most users, with some practice.
three... it's a big cash cow, golden goose, you name it.
I use one and it's tough to get adapt to, but for a nasal FFM it's a quality product, plus virtually every insurance plan covers it.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

ResMed may not be doing a thing...it might just be that DME phasing it out and wanting to blame ResMed.Sir NoddinOff wrote:It's hard to believe ResMed would dump the Quattro FX
Wouldn't be the first time.
