Equipment no longer needed

Post by apw5746 » Mon Feb 03, 2014 2:27 pm

If this post violates procedures, then delete it, and ban me.

Recently I was issued a new ResMed S9 Auto Set with humidifier. I have two machines I no longer need/use. One is a REMstar plus with C-Flex, the other an ResMed S8 VPAP ST (6 hours). Both have carry case, instruction booklets, humidifiers (ResMed H4i), & hoses, & power cords, and both would be considered used.

Not sure what they're worth. Obviously these machines would be perfect for someone who has no insurance, but needing equipment to aid with their sleep woes. I'm neither a doctor, or a sleep technician, & no I can't afford a law suit.

Not looking to get rich, but also not looking to looking to be low-balled. PM me, and make an offer.

apw5746

****After much thought and PM's with other forum members, I withdraw my offer.***

If they still work, keep them for backup machines. You can never have too many.
With all the problems I've observed others having with their "new" machines, you may need them.

Thanks for the reply Den.

In the past I wasn't giving the machines a chance. I became frustrated with them, put em in the closet and forgot about them. Since I'm now under Medicare I had to met certain guidelines or forfeit the machine. I complied, 'cause I was falling asleep at 9 am as an example, and generally listless, but no longer do since I'm religiously using the equipment as it was intended for.

I don't see a need to have extra machines laying around the house gathering dust. I'd rather someone who has a need put them to good use.

I just might be wrong, and you be right, but I still don't see the need to have them.

Bill44133,

I like your avatar. Cat has same coloring as mine. He too lies on his side paws crossed and gives you a look that will melt you.

That is my little girl, Hattie.. How she horned her way into my life I still don't understand. I never wanted any pets.

Now that she has been with me for the last 3 years I believe She was a gift to me from God. Such a trusting soul..
If I was her I would have ran away from me a long time ago.

That's the magic of animals that unexpectedly wander into our lives. You're not looking for critter love and they are usually looking for someone who will not hurt them (just maybe, with a little luck, someone to feed and shelter them ) Most of my cats and few of my dogs were exactly like that.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I'm a cat lover, so I understand how they worm their way into our lives in such a manner that we wouldn't dare turn them away. Should you ever decide you no longer want her ......I'll gladly travel from Colorado to pick her up She and my Max would probably get along great, if he doesn't spurn her
