Data Card

Post by Leadhead » Mon Jan 27, 2014 11:42 am

My machine quit recognizing my SD card. When I insert it, the machine says "Data Activity Do not remove card" After a few seconds it beeps and says "Card error remove and reinsert".
When I do this it goes through the same cycle. I cleaned the contact points on the card but no help. The computer will read the card through Sleepyhead but doesn't show data for last night.
Can I use any SD card or is there something special about the Respironics card? Is formatting a new card required?

Yes, any ordinary SD card will do.
Try formatting your existing card after copying all the files on it to your desktop hard drive.
After the formatting, copy all the files back then try re-inserting the card to see if it now works.

If it still fails, replace the card with a new one.
Try to get a plain SD card not one of the newer SDHC cards as sometimes CPAP machines have trouble with them.
Get the smaller capacity card (4GB or less) since a Respironics can store more than 2 years of data on a 2 GB card and additional space won't be used.
