I don't know who's doing it but it looks like they're finding all the ones with a poll and voting which puts the thread on page one at the top. It looks like someone with nothing better to do.

I suspect that somebody has found a different way of trolling. Most of the are polls, so they can move the topic to the top by voting (and not posting), so we can't see who it is. And then people respond, not noticing that it is a very old post. This is a really good reason to put a time limit on voting. Maybe a month or two at the most. Definitely not years.

Maybe someone trying to push hard on the separate forums thing? It is very annoying.

All that's needed is to lock ALL polls, turn off the poll option of the forum. Wait until the fool dies on the vine, the bad thing fools breed 24/7.

Polls have little worth other that feel good wastes of time, now they are a means to exploit the forum. Jim

The good thing they can only vote on old posts without posting one time.

The bad thing they will run out and then will have go post their own usless poll, then they sill be exposed fof the troll that are. Jim

There will always be usless people seeking attention, with time on thdir hand. Maybe they aren't good at real games or no-one will play with them.

Maybe someone could tie a porkchop around their neck, then the dog can playwith them. Poor Doggy!

It is annoying. I just counted 12 posts that are over a year old. And that's just on page 1

Can we just not post to them at all anymore and eventually they'll go away here... but everyone has to do it!

I'm not sure what difference it makes........old polls or new polls. Just goes to show the newer forum members that there are basically no "new" subjects on the forum.
Personally, I don't care. I kind of enjoy seeing some of the old posts brought up from time to time.

I answered a few times, not noticing the date. I will watch dates from now on.

Sclark, No offense to whomever is doing it, but sometimes we see trolls and spammers bring up very old threads and then post suspicious links. This forum is for the most part "self-monitored" by veteran members, so when we see lots of old posts some of us begin to wonder what's going on.

So this is not meant as a criticism of someone who may be reviving threads because they are reading through the forum and looking at the polls, it is just a way of checking in to make sure nothing else is going on that we need to be aware of.

If you or any other newbie is simply clicking around to learn more about CPAP and see poll results, that's fine.

If you notice, at least half of these are revived by spammers. The other half may perhaps be revived by bored
individuals, or perhaps not.
I don't really see any big harm in it though. It probably gives newbies a chance to participate in a non intimidating way, who are not yet a part of the "clique".

Could it possibly be automated?
The reason I ask is that the same ones keep getting bumped over and over--like a spambot switching addresses.
