Transcend Auto

Post by jfzim » Thu Dec 26, 2013 12:00 pm

Just purchased a Transcend Travel Auto. Unit is great and absolutely silent, but my mask (F&P407) that is near silent with my Remstar System One is very noisy when I inhale. Any suggestions? Is there a better mask to use with this system? Are there software adjustments that can be made?
Also purchased the new water bladder humidifier. Leaked all over the night stand. They now say they are aware of the problem and will be shipping out new bladders. Recommend you wait for a while before purchasing one.

Hi jfzim: I have the same issue. Used it for the first time last night and it's noisy on inhale. But my Fisher Paykel Sleep Style 200 with Resmed Swift FX Nasal Pillow Mask is completely silent. This is the third new CPAP machine I've purchased. I wanted something small to travel with, but unfortunately, I don't think there is anything as quiet as my bulky Fisher Paykel.

Same issue with the Z1. Very noisey. The Z1 Machine itself is pretty quiet but the mask is very noisy (and I tried 2 different masks). Cpap.com told me it is because the Z1 is a straight pressure machine and tried to sell me an Auto Transcend (as they were sure that was the problem). Nice to know the Transcend Auto isn't quiet either. Since I'm already out the money for the Z1 I'm not purchasing another travel machine anytime in the near future.
