Respironics Remstar auto for sale

Post by Grimace » Fri Jun 16, 2006 1:33 pm

I tried to post this earlier and it isn't showing up, so I'll try it again. I hope this is not against forum rules. Anyway, I just bought a new Remstar auto with c-flex, and I'd like to sell my older Remstar auto without c-flex and hopefully provide someone who needs it a good machine at an affordable price. The machine seems to be in perfect shape. I've been diligent in cleaning everything, and I just replaced the filter last week. The machine has 1105 hours on it, so its just getting broken in well. The heated humidifier, hose, carrying case, and smart card go with it. I'd like to get $350 including shipping. I also have an almost new Respironics comfortlite 2 mask that I'd sell for $45. It's in new condition, it just doesn't work for me. I've gotten mucho good information off this board, so I thought I'd give the folks here first crack at it. If anyone is interested, you can PM me or email me directly at exokie2@excite.com

Just curious and hope you can post back now and in a few weeks after you use the cflex.

I am curious to know from you and others if there is that much of an advantage with cflex.

I have the same machine w/o cflex and cannot imagine the need for cflex in my case.

But then mu main pressure is about 10- rarely up to 15 and very rarely at 16.
but I still have no problem exhaling.

Curious Tom

Tom, I went from the Remstar Auto (used for 3 years) to a Remstar Auto with cflex. My 90% pressure is 8, within a setting of 6 to 10. I can't tell the difference at all, but I only have the cflex setting on one. Perhaps if I bumped it up, I would see some difference, but don't feel I need to.

Hope that helps a little.

I would say the best place to try to sell it is Yahoo Auction. However, $350.00 maybe a bit high for such an old unit. Used RemStar Autos w/C-Flex + Humidifiers are selling for $400.00 and all of them are less than two years old. Furthermore, new overstocked RemStar Pro 2s are selling for less than $300.00...

In light of being told that I set the price too high, how about $275? I'm always open to offers.

And C-Flex 1 is the hardest, 3 is the easyiest. Jim

I started 3 and now use 2, havn't tried 1 yet, it's on my to do list.

I used a PB420s cpap for 6 months before ordering My REMstar auto with cflex. I noticed the difference cflex made right away, It is so much easier to exhale. I don't think I would ever go back to not using cflex again.

I just checked there are NO Remstar Pro 2's for sale on yahoo, those Remstar Pro's your talking about are OLD really OLD, they have the old style round User buttons instead of the newer arrow shaped buttons that have been selling for the past 5 years. Those machines also do NOT have C-Flex stickers on them, so I doubt they have C-Flex either.

I hope you go to sell something here and some yoyo like you comes along hijacks your post with misinformation.

Guest - So what is item10117.0322? I don't think you looked at all 5 pages.
Yes, I agree the Pros on the first page are old stock.

Of course it is. You are an honest person, and the unit is sound. It should have another three years service in it..

Earlier I was accused of highjacking your post. Believe me, that was not my intension. I was only trying to inform you and the readers of this forum, what the latest xPAP prices were on the open market.

Did you get a copy of the script??....

Tried the "new" m series with cflex and my pressure is at 14. It was so loud, even when I turned off the CFLEX option. The air intake on this machine is a quarter of the size of the older model so I suspect that is the reason. I was lucky my supplier still had the older model REMstar Plus with C-Flex, what a great machine, although larger than the new M series it is so QUIET eveb at 14 pressure.
