S9 Climateline tubing

This hose connects to the hose that comes with a mask, correct? So that implies that the temp sensor is below the mask hose, not at the mask itself? Is this right?

Yes I do, I never have rain out.

I never use the climate line and never have rainouts b/c I keep my bedroom at 79 to 80 degrees F all year long.
Also, by using this hose stand, there could not be a rainout inside the hose. Water could accumulate either in the mask or in the dehumidifier base if it's an S9.

I don't use the ClimeateLine for rainout per se but to keep the icicles from forming inside my sinuses. Works great!

Normally the added warmth (yes, regulated by a sensor at the end of the heated hose) is enough to be adequate when making the final journey through any short hose to the mask to alleviate 99% of any problems.
It's better than no heated hose for sure.
A few people who like a really cold bedroom might need a little cozy on the short hose or a barrel cozy for the nasal pillows to help prevent condensation in the mask itself.

If like your bedroom temps in the upper 70s then you probably won't even need a heated hose at all but if you like cooler bedroom temps then you likely will find the heated hose a nice feature. The potential cooling that would happen after the warmed air exits the long hose and goes to short hose is going to be fairly minimal.

I like a really cold bedroom plus I like maximum humidity delivery. I use a heated hose now and on a rare occasion I get a bit of condensation in the nasal pillows. Padacheek's barrel cozy takes care of it....never have needed a cozy on the short hose with the heated hose.
Now prior to having a heated hose.... I had to put cozies on the long hose and the short hose. Not the end of the world to do that but it's nice not to have the added weight of the hose cozies to deal with.

In colder ambient temps the climateline is much better, the regular tubing gets a lot
of condensation when it gets cold.

One downside to the climateline hose is I have had them go bad, the S9 would say the hose
had a fault, and rather than allow you to treat it as a regular hose it would just refuse
to turn on.

So I keep a spare around just in case.

Some of the earlier S9s had that problem.
The ClimateLine hose really was not bad, it just got too warm because the bedroom was too warm, or it was under the covers, or both & gave off that Error Code.

The later versions just turned that Error Code off.

I'll bet some of your "bad" ClimateLine hoses WILL work if you can reduce the operating temperature in some manner.
